MDH COVID – 19 Update – 13.5.20

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) is open for applicants

Those who are eligible will be able to claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their average trading profits, up to a maximum of £7,500, paid in a single instalment.

However, not everybody can claim today – HMRC are staggering applicants so please use the link below to check your eligibility, and also find out your application time and date.

Once the claim has been made, the money will be paid within six working days.

To make the claim, you will need;

  • Government Gateway user ID and password – if you do not have a user ID, you can create one when you check your eligibility or make your claim
  • UK bank details including:
    • bank account number
    • sort code
    • name on the account
    • your address linked to your bank account

You’ll have to confirm to HMRC that your business has been adversely affected by coronavirus

Please note; If you are eligible for the SEISS, we as agents cannot apply on your behalf – you must make the application yourself using your own Government Gateway.
